Venus Wears Ador
A Glimpse of the Model, the Clothes, and the Designer
|
Arise Mindanao was brought to the United States upon the suggestion of Emmie Nazareth and initial congruence by Fil in Arts with SocSKSargen USA (headed by Rowena Mejia-Randman and adviser Darlene Dilangalen Borromeo), Philippine Heritage, and Fil Am Who's Who, in collaboration with Jun Ador and Dalsaka Foundation, Inc. (Fil in Arts, Philippine Heritage, and Fil Am Who's Who later withdrew from the endeavor.) The Arise Mindanao show debuted at the SoCSKSargen USA Inaugural Convention at Hilton Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey in August 2018. The second Arise Mindanao fashion show, this time headlined by Venus Raj and produced by Mita Quiogue for Glossy Skinnovations, was held at Kalayaan Hall on Fifth Avenue later that month. Both shows were directed by Rain Ramas. The Manhattan photo shoot with Venus Raj, also produced by Quiogue, subsequently followed, with Rain Ramas as art director and JunJun Donesa as photographer.
Just believe in yourself. Continue to dream. Always do your very best in doing your creations.
S oft-spoken and self-deprecating as he is, Feliciano Ador timidly but graciously accepts praises sent his way — what with all the increased exposure and publicity he's had of late — and in turn generously shares his blessings with family and close friends.
To all aspiring fashion designers everywhere, Ador sends this message: "Just believe in yourself. Continue to dream. Always do your very best in doing your creations."
Feliciano Ador's collections, including Arise Mindanao, are either custom-made or limited, but may be ordered online at arisemindanao.com or on his Facebook page, Feliciano by Jun Ador. — ANPJ/2
